Thriving at BBDO: A Journey of Creativity and Collaboration

OVERVIEW.

Working at the esteemed advertising agency BBDO was both a test and a blessing, pushing me to new heights in my career. I thrived in this dynamic environment, excelling at managing a diverse range of clients and projects. From reworking the brand guidelines for Norwegian Cruise Lines to figuring out how to make the flying pig for Georgia Lottery look "classy," each challenge was an opportunity to blend creativity with strategic thinking.

Key Projects and Responsibilities

  • Brand Guidelines for Norwegian Cruise Lines: Led the rebranding efforts for Norwegian Cruise Lines, ensuring a cohesive and modern visual identity that resonated with their target audience. This involved redesigning logos, color schemes, typography, and marketing materials to create a unified brand experience.

  • Creative Solutions for Georgia Lottery: Developed innovative and visually appealing concepts for the Georgia Lottery, including the challenge of making a flying pig look "classy." This project required a balance of humor and sophistication, resulting in a memorable and effective campaign.

  • High Client Demand: Navigated the high demands of clients with enthusiasm, consistently delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines. The fast-paced nature of the agency kept me on my toes and fueled my passion for creative problem-solving.

  • Vendor and Production Coordination: Managed relationships with vendors, printers, and production companies to ensure seamless execution of projects. This involved coordinating timelines, overseeing quality control, and troubleshooting any issues that arose.

  • Super Bowl Ad Campaign: Played a crucial role in the last-minute rush to produce a Super Bowl ad just a week before the game. The intense pressure and tight deadlines brought the team together, resulting in a successful campaign and a shared sense of accomplishment.

The long hours were occasionally challenging, but the work was a never-ending source of excitement and fulfillment. Each project was an opportunity to push my creative boundaries and develop new skills. The camaraderie and shared victories with my team transformed colleagues into a newly founded family, making every success even more rewarding.

Through my time at BBDO, I honed my abilities as a creative, art director, and designer, learning to balance creativity with strategic execution.
